Fresh hand harvested Lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus) leaves and stalks. 

This super fresh lemongrass will come a bit differently from how you find it at a grocery store. Our lemongrass will come with some or all of its leaves, and the stalks will be smaller due to the shorter, milder season in Western Washington. Expect stalks to range from pencil to thumb-sized, getting larger as the season progresses into fall.

Prep/storage:

Leaves can be wilted to make the sharp edges easier to handle and less likely to break. Wear a glove if you want to be extra safe. Wilted leaves can be folded, bound, wound, or wrapped into cute bundles before being dried or frozen for later use in tea, broth, soup, curry, aromatic steam pots, etc. 

Stalks for cooking can be frozen whole and prepped as needed or frozen sliced, pounded, minced. 

Stalks for tea if you want to store dry, cut/slice into short pieces or split lengthwise and then cut and dry.
